VakSea to receive $50,000 StartupSG Award to accelerate product R&D, commercialization and market penetration

June 19th, 2019, Baltimore, MD – VakSea, a company that bio-manufactures functional feed additives to protect farm-raised fish and shrimp from disease, today announced it has received a Future Food Asia 2019 Startup SG award.

The Startup SG Award, valued at $50,000, was presented to VakSea CEO, Mihir Pershad, at the Future Food Asia 2019 Conference in Singapore, June 3-4, 2019. At the conference, Pershad presented VakSea and its core product and value proposition for the fisheries and aquaculture markets to more than 300 industry leaders, professionals and investors representing 13 countries.

The Future Food Asia 2019 Startup SG prize is given annually to agriculture tech companies that demonstrate the potential to have significant impact on the future of food in Asia and the agriculture ecosystem in Singapore.

The Future Food Asia conference recognizes “up and coming talents and rewards entrepreneurs from the Asia Pacific region who are building disruptive and sustainable innovations to tackle the inefficiencies and scarcities in our agri-food value chain.”
